Our good friend, brother, coach and teacher, Jesus, died yesterday. Three years ago he was diagnosed with a type of cancer that usually takes a person in about 15 days. In the past three years he learned about life and as a good teacher would do, shared that knowledge. Even though I first knew him as a student athlete, he taught me more.

In the picture I'm the confused fellow on the right. On the far left is a team mate of mine, from Alabama, and a longtime coach. The two in the middle were team mates on one of our teams, but were a year apart in school. Us two on the right are still coaching. Jesus is second from the left and in this picture is about year after chemo and radiation, and still out coaching. Like I said, I learned from the student.
