Baseball on the Mind

We are in the midst of 6 games in 6 days. Reminds me of college when we played 10 games in 8 days over one stretch. The kids are playing well and in hindsight why would they not? Crima-flippin'-nently! Why wouldn't you be happy playing a game, instead of sittin' in class listening to a teacher when the sun is shining outside?

The above picture was seen during the World Series and I stole it for our team this year. The idea is that a patient batter is a more successful batter. Currently this year over the first 4 games we as a team have 8 Positive AB's in a loss; and 26, 28, and 18 positive AB's in three wins. Some new thinking may be in the air.

Hey Steve, It took me a while, but I think I figured out all 8 points, with the exception of the last part of #3. The 1st part is Hit By Pitch, but what is C. Int?

Ranndy,

Catchers interference. Not a common occurrence. As a catcher once you get hit by a bat, you don't usually want to get too close again.

We are trying to get the players to have longer at bats this year in hopes of wearing the opposing pitcher out a bit. Thanks for thinking about the ideas.

Trey,

We ended up 5-1 for the week and finished 2nd in a tournament. Not bad.
