After all of the good and the bad of this game, a game where the team showed they are on the verge of something really good, one parent still made sure to comment/recommend, "Coach, don't you think now would be a good time for some line-up changes."

Addendum
Last night we lost a particularly heart-breaking game in extra innings. The players competed for the entire 8 innings. That has been our theme and mantra this year--compete. Whether you are ahead or behind, compete. Last night they did and were ahead for most of the game of a team that we have not beat in the last three years. We made many errors, but still competed and even came back in the top of the 8th inning to go ahead with some very timely hitting. Truly a wrenching defeat. In the midst of that our starting second baseman was hit by a pitch, advanced and scored at the time the go ahead run. The pitch that hit him also cracked his scapula/shoulder blade we found out later. It was a game of strategy and twists and turns not normally seen in high school. All but one of our pitchers pitched and everyone played for us.
