I recently watched It's a Wonderful Life, again. Couldn't count how many times if I had to, but still like the movie, and still cry at the end. I was struck again by a thought that has been reoccurring the last ten years or so of watching this film. Maybe it's being older; maybe it's a reflection of our times. It might be just something I can't explain at this time.
Why doesn't Mr. Potter get arrested for stealing the Bailey's $7000? He has it. It's not his money. And the butler/wheelchair pusher knows it also.
Or is his punishment the fact that he has no friends and most really dislike him?

Ah.. but aren't there so many Potters in this world?
" Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face." Ps 89:14
It always seems there is so much injustice in this world. Aren't we glad that we have a heavenly father who sees all and knows all? God's punishment/ justice is far more than anything we could ever do. (I have to keep reminding myself that)
Nancy,
I'm sure that's it. And I certainly don't want to incur God's wrath. Maybe it's the curveball the my brain sends me on when I watch this scene.
